it looks real because it is, the technique is called photobashing, very common. you kinda simply take a photo that got the texture you need and overlay it

I tried to learn how to paint more realistic but it turns to be so hard especially how to mix the colors and create smooth skin. Your paintings are amazing! Do you have any recommendations where I could get better teachings to learn to paint similar like this?

It's so good to feel so small. Really nice work. Makes me want to work more my effects. First, shadows. Used them for a time. Do not anymore for I'm looking for this ability to go straight to the essence that I overload… Really nice work. A flow of nice details.
