We can premise that digital technique is not our predominant technique but we are experiencing with these type of works, so we appreciate your point of view.

At the moment we have mainly knowledge of Photoshop CS6 and Illustrator CS6 and we can tell you that the linear was created just with Illustrator.
We have a Wacom graphic board available, only the illustrator linerart does not seem to be affected by the pressure, maybe we did something wrong, we do not know.
For this, we are trying also to learn other drawing software, currently Manga Studio and Corel Painter, where the line pressure seems to work.
We may also take an option to get to know this SAI in the future. Thanks!
Ok, yes,. Maybe you're right, there is not much contrast and depth. A little we tried to create something light, but perhaps some more detail given by the shadows and light could be better.

First thing first… I have to say that I really like the lighting in this picture. It does add a little feeling of fantasy into the picture. The water ripples here are also really nicely drawn as well 
The pose of the two characters here also looks great 
Hair are also nicely drawn as well~ I do like the look of curly purple hair quite a lot
Now is time for a little nitpicking… I’m not sure of what those floating lights around the characters are, but I felt like it would be better if those light were colored on top of the lineart. Since now it kinda makes me feel like the lights are clawing under their skin… (Unless that is your intention >_<)
Anyhow~ This is a great picture with nice soothing atmosphere! Keep up the good work

Yes, the movement of curly hair was a bit challenging. There is not the same free gesture that you can have in designing straight hair. We had to create the right undulation that does not create too much contrast with the delicacy of the work.

This was our mistake At first, those lights are created with a delicate color and a little transparent, not full, so it was likely that transparency would result. But perhaps here it could be excessive, because the level of light has remained under the lineart.
We could try to correct.

They are mercury (on Blond boy) and sulfur (on Dark boy) simbols, the main elements of the Great Opera, the philosopher's stone.
They represent these elements.
In this work the achievement of the philosopher's stone is more spiritual and not material.
