This was not meant in a slashy way, but if you're into that, whatever...I don't really care, go ahead and think that.

I think it's pretty interesting how Kingdom Hearts works, in general...it's basically like a big canon crossover. XD But somehow it works. But what's fascinating is that Sora's the main character, and the Final Fantasy people are secondary characters, but in their own games, they're the "heroes". It takes the whole "everyone is the hero of their own story" thing literally.

In my doujinshi as well as my fanfic "Homecoming", I focus on the Hollow Bastion/Radiant Garden crew, and Sora is only mentioned a few times, briefly. And it's interesting how many fans latched onto the interaction between Cloud and Leon/Squall, even though they're only shown together in about three scenes, most of them only a few seconds long...setting aside the yaoi fans, there is actually something there. If you think about it, it stands to reason they'd have a background together, having grown up in the same place. And from their snappy dialogue in that infamous scene, you can really tell there's something more than a casual friendship. I don't mean romance (I am a girl and admit they look pretty attractive together, but it really doesn't work XDDD ) but a deep mutual trust. Considering their personalities are somewhat similar, it makes sense.

But whatever. I like working with that implied friendship. One of the great things about KH is that so much is left open for fans to build on, whether it was intentional or not.
