volume 5 of RWBY has got me so hyped omg
I also realized how I've never made an oc for RWBY-??? So no I have!

a lot of this stuff is subject to change and a lot of things are kinda missing..so sorry for that-!!

Name: Mei (meaning beautiful or plum in Chinese) Yein (meaning kind/gentle in Chinese)

Height: 5’2”

Race: Human

Gender: Female

Color Association: Purple

Aura Color: Purple

Emblem: Plum Blossom

Personality:

Mei is seen as a kind yet timid girl. Having lived in a small town with little interactions with many people has not helped this fact, which has resulted in Mei having a bit of a shy nature around other she’s never met while also having a fear of large crowds.
She also seems to have trouble talking to new people, stuttering slightly on her words and becoming flustered when she’s realized she’s stuttered.

However when it comes to people she’s close with, she is much more open and less shy.
She gives off a kind and compassionate nature, often worrying about friends or family and is always doing her best to look out for them and to make sure that everyone is feeling okay.

And if she gets startled or scared by someone this activated her Semblance, which causes her to suddenly disappear from their sight before slowly re-appearing again.

Powers and Abilities:

Weapon: Silberhaus

A wand like weapon, witch also acts as a sniper rifle.

It works like a sniper rifle as it can fire long range and can use a different assortment of dust infused bullets.

If she runs out of ammo for her rifle, then the weapon can also act as a ‘wand’ like weapon, being one that's more close range than the rifle. By opening the pommel of the wand, Mei is able to insert any type of raw dust, which will be located at the very top of the wand. And by swinging it around it will release the dust inside, reacting upon any impact from the enemy.

Semblance:

Mei’s semblance can be described as “Disappearance” where she is able to turn herself and whatever she touches invisible. Of course this is at the cost of Aura, so she cannot use it too often, thus she only uses it in crucial moments or when she needs to find a way to escape.

Special Slippers:

The shoes Mei wears are actually infused with Gravity dust, which normally activate when she jumps or flips, giving off the ability of flight.
This coupled with her strong ability in jumping and flipping, makes her a difficult target to hit when far away or up close. You’ll have to be very focused to hit her.

Many question her on how she is able to walk normally wearing while wearing the slippers, since wouldn’t she start to float away because their infused with gravity dust? Well not so.
Mei is able to lock into her Aura to activate the crystals in her shoes, which is what keeps her grounded and gives her the ability to float.

(this concept in still in the works since their isn’t a lot of information about how infusing dust into clothing works..)

Extra Info:

* Mei draw inspiration from the main female roles in the classic ballet, The Nutcracker. She draws inspiration from the main girl Clara but draws the most inspiration from the Sugar Plum Fairy.
- This is shown in her color palette which is made up of mostly purples, like the color of a plum.
* Mei's first name means "Beautiful" or "Plum" in Chinese.
* Her last name Yein means "Kind" or "Gentle" in Chinese.
* Mei used to live in a small town and she, along with her younger brother Taro, were taken in by her stern grandfather Drosselmeyer after the death of her parents.
* The choker she wears has a heart locket which was given to her by her mother, inside it holds a precious family photo.
* In her free time she enjoys making sweets.
* Her weapon's name "Silberhaus" is based off of the last name given to Clara's family in The Nutcracker.

I haven't decided on whether to make more characters and have her be in a team, (or if there might possible be some people out there who are up for a RWBY character collab to make a team together)
which is why I haven't decided what region she lives or what school she attends yet..
