Description brass wire, clear glass, suede cord, and rosewood

This is the first wood jewelry piece I ever made. The wire is between two pieces of glass that are fused together. I sanded the rosewood until it was super smooth, then polished it with beeswax.

That is gorgeous! I love how you combined three very, very different materials and got a unfied, organic piece.

How long did that take?

Thanks!

It was probably almost four hours in total, not including the amount of time that the glass was sitting in the kiln. It would have been faster if I had been using a router and a belt sander on the wood, but instead I did it by hand.

It's always better done by hand, can't over do it then!

Yep, that's generally true.

Milling machines, however, are the bomb!

Is it for sale?

Thanks.

It's not for sale at the moment, since I don't really have time to set up and manage the shipping for an online store right now. Maybe this summer, though.
