I really like it. Seriously... the pose, the rain, the design Yet there're some things I'd fix. The colours from the rat are too saturated to be in a darky landscape and weather like that is. Too colourful. I'd have stubbed out the colours a bit, with some filter. Other thing is that it's supposed to be a source of light in front of the dude; you can notice in the very bright parts over the fur and tail. Not the type of light you get in a cloudy day, with black clouds over, you know... You could even improve the pic removing those parts, just if you want to try. Also, the nose, hands, and tail, have a bright like if they were too polished, like metal. Same with the clothes, belts, etc. (you can hardly find those kind of surfaces in life, less on organic materials). Maybe blurring the light zones a little would make it look rugous. And a last thing, the two fingers from the left hand, holding on the dagger, look a bit odd. Like if they were not holding the handgrip too well.

Anyways, the balance is good. The pic is awesome. I personally like it a lot.
