Description Two of my favorite things would have had come together if this movie, in some wierd space-time paradox, would have been made.

KARNOV, is of course the awesome NES and Arcade game many remember. Sure, it was hard, but entertaining and unforgettable.
Karnov is everybody's favorite firebreathing russian strongman!!! Karnov would have made a kickass movie! So if I personally, as big fan of Karnov, had to choose an actor, and a director, I would have to break the rules. An actor who has sadly past on, and a director who is still roaming the movie industry.

Tor Johnson, who many remember as the snarling Lobo, and Zombie Inspector Clay from Ed Wood's glorious movies, would be my choice for the role of Karnov. The man was strong as hell, and he could actually act, if someone would just give him the spotlight. There is a wonderful scene in "Bride of the Monster", in wich Tor's eyes say more than any epic movie line.

So here is my tribute, to you Tor, where ever you are, and to Karnov, whom I miss in the game industry, and hope to return someday.

/Anton "Doppel" Salvin.

Tor Johnson, a legendary 50's actor and Karnov is a great game and i'm sure Zangoff from Street Fighter would fight this dude.

Have you seen The Unearthly? a 1957 MST3K fan fave (If you've seen that show with the robots and the spaceman who comment on low budget movies during the film). It stars John Carradine as well as it's a typical mad scientist movie that is very similar to HG Welles's Island of Dr. Moreau and predates Brain That Wouldn't Die. Tom Servo, Crow Robot and Joel had a breeze through that movie.

Yup, I've seen the Unearthly.

Ah yes an immortal line delivered by him. And did you think the MST3K guys were having fun watching it?

I really hate MST3K, it's the unfunniest thing I know.

Would you compare them to Monty Python? what is the difference between MP and MST3K? and do you prefer to watch so bad it's good movies without their help and do your own commentary? but some movies like Hobgoblins (a truly terrible 1988 Gremlins wannabe) are so unbelivably awful that not even those guys could handle it.

And do you think they are "disrepectful" to the film industry as many of you classic horror and sci-fi fans have damned them?

Have you seen Galaxy 454's Karnov? It was fairly amusing.

Tor Johnson as Karnov just became my favorite casting idea for a video game character ever. The right size, hair style, strength and could look intimidating as hell. If only it could happen for real.

Thank you so much for your wonderful comment. Hehe, I'm so happy that you liked my idea! I love both Karnov and Tor very much, and this film would have been the perfect tribute for both of them, but I guess this poster is also pretty good. People who say Tor was a bad actor, dont really know the true Tor Johnson. Just watch his eyes in "Bride of the Monster", the scene where Bela fries the first patient. Tor's eyes are amazing. Karnov would have been the perfect part for him.
As Karnov would have said:

FIREEEEEE!!!

No problem I'd just seen Plan 9 a few weeks ago and I thought Tor was even good at playing the inspector. You could tell he was the kind of guy that could've done so much more.
