I've got to say that his expression is more on the lines of contemplating something; if anything, planning out L's death.
The blood splatter that mostly condenses near his head really strikes, to me at least, the idea that Kira is really thinking of how he'll dispose out favorite number one detective (with the Death Note, duh XD) . And, as always, it's always up to you what the art actually means.

im thinking about a big scene of death note but probably will take me days to finish
i want to hear your thought about it :
im going to draw a ring , like a boxing ring , L vs Light in a boxing match
in the corner of L i draw his coach "Watari" and his sccessors Near and Mello fighting like children
in the corner of Light i draw his coach , and that would be his father , and Misa and Mikami
the referee would be Matsuda , he doesn't take sides
the audiences is the rest of the characters like Aizawa , SPK members , ... and more
what do u think ?

But, other than that, I'm kinda okay. My stupid parents were fighting and my dad was kicked out of my house the other month, but he went to the courtroom and he gets to come back in about 10 days, then my mom has to move out.

Ah, no it's okay. This has been going on for as long as I can remember, so I'm used to it.
And yes, my mom's okay. But, to be honest, she's the one that causing most of the problems though,
It's very complicated, and if I was told to explain everything we'd be here for a while, so I'll just leave it at my parents were fighting for a very long time and they're finally getting divorced
It's the people like you that get me through these kinds of things. I have my 3 other siblings and I have a really nice friend, and he listens to me and deals with my crap and stuff, lol. I see him every day at school, so that helps.
If I could give you a hug, I would. But I can't, so, you're gonna have to settle with an emoticon, lol.

Aw, thanks. I owe you a little bit of the complex story, lol. Here's what happened recently;
My dad got kicked out of my house in July, and he and my mom went to court and made an agreement. That agreement was that my mother HAS to gets out of my house on September 20th, and then my dad moves back in. But, she hasn't moved anything yet, at all. So, my dad thinks that she is trying to screw the agreement so she could stay until my house goes into foreclosure. My dad is gonna get it out of foreclosure, he's worked that out with the bank, but if he doesn't get back in to the house to pay the payment, we're gonna lose the house. Sooo, there ya go. That's what has been happening for the past few months
But I'm glad I have you~ Talking about things makes me feel better
And if you ever have anything you wanna talk about, you can always come to me, since, like you said, that's what friends are for <3
And I will take care of myself. Don't you worry ^.^

It's best to make a background by yourself but since I'm too lazy I just search online about backgrounds that fits my subject and change it's color if needed and make sure to pick a high resolution picture you don't want to ruin your drawing
about picking the right background choose a color that compliments the drawing color and it's not good to choose the same color of your drawing but darker cause that way your drawing will look flat, at least that's my opinion xD
and if the drawing is simple choose a background that has patterns in it and vise versa
Hope I helped ^^ and don't forget that some backgrounds online is not for use, be careful with the copyright things
