I would say about a month. Difficult to say because I am usually working on at least three at a time to give the painting rest time in between oil layers

Wow! My watercolors can sometimes take that long! But with oil, you can't "erase" like you can with water on watercolors can you? Nice job and perseverance!Β

Thank you. I find oils much more forgiving than watercolours, but I guess its the one you work with the most that you get to know the best

I see what you mean by that! It's true I feel more comfortable with watercolor, but I tried oils.. Β thisΒ was my reaction when the teacher said our second piece could be any media we chose!Β Β I find oils more difficult to work with but I have to admit their result proves a reflection of mastery and technique and depth on the artist!! Especially in your case! Β Β Β
