Description Birthday picture for

I looked at the pairings he likes in his sig to pick out what to draw, and as shamefully as this sounds there were only two (I think) that I supported myself, one being Tails/Cream and the other being Knuckles/Rouge. Now I've drawn Tails/Cream somewhat recently but I haven't drawn Knuckles/Rouge for ages so that's what I went for.

This is how I like their relationship to be: Rouge teasing and flirting with him while Knuckles gets annoyed and embarassed by it. The idea of them being a "couple" doesn't appeal to me so much now since they're both characters who by nature want to be single. But that's the reason why I like their relationship, it doesn't have to lead to a long term relationship.

But Knuckles/Rouge/Master Emerald is the real love.

HEHEHEH 8D This one amused me muchly I must say! And I don't mind the pairing myself, but I have to agree, I can't see these guys being a serious couple XD Rouge is kinda... well... out there 8D; *hit* And Knuckles is kinda anal about being approached in general But yes, it still makes for fun teasing YES, the Master Emerald totally has to be involved, that's the spark of their relationship! They probably wouldn't take interest in eachother without it XD Although, I think more than anything, they just want to be with the MASTER EMERALD But on their own, no sharing D: Thus I can totally picture the scene here; Rouge being all smugly propped on it, all"HEHEH, IT LIKES ME BETTER *hit* But being big, shiny and green, it is rather irresistable *dies* I totally love Knuckles in this, you do armflailing SO well 8D His face is priceless! Poor guy You need a more faithful gem dude D: *pets* But yes, very amusing scenario there, Sammeh!

For some reason the first thing in my mind was "Nooo! There's boobs touching the Master Emerald! DX" And Rouge seems to be enjoying causing that pain. XD

I think I agree. KnuxRouge isn't entirely plausible to me. I'll read it if it's well-written, but I prefer them as individuals rather than a couple. Rouge is... too much woman for Knuckles.

That's actually what I was going for on this. I suck at drawing the female figure in anthros because I keep being too modest about the proportions and making them look too small. But on this one I tried to over-exaggerate the breats for humour and they turned out the average size for Rouge. Typical of my luck.

I'm not really as much into this pairing as I used to be. Although like you said there are some well-written stuff for it (Bryon Niteshade being a prime example of an author) most of the fanfics just don't get the relationship right. While I like the relationship between them I prefer it not to be a "relationship", if that makes any sense. Rouge needs to stay single, it suits her nature.

I love Rouge's flirting/teasing look here. And of course Knuckled gets all flustered and appears to have issues with temper control. It's strange but I suppose that's what I love about the pairing.

The Master Emerald has to be involved for the relationship to work.

*Nods* While I don't like them settling down together they are one of the most interesting pairings Sega have worked with. They showed me romance can be fun back when I hated pairings. Plus the attraction is in your face in SA2
