Description The only editing done on this piece was using the spot healing brush tool to remove specks of dirt that appeared on the picture because they got on my lens. The clouds truly looked like that, mostly because it was nearing night and it was after a storm.

Do not use my work without asking me first

The only downside to this is the brown slope in the bottom left corner. Perhaps it could be brushed out or the bottom cropped up a bit. It draws the focus down instead of around. Other than that, I really like it ! ! !
I find myself staring up waiting for the light to break through the clouds, much as the tree itself seems to be stretching to the sun as well. Love the mood. Another one of yours to add to my Favorites. Keep up the good work. e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/sā€¦ " width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Smile)"/>

This last part is just filler to make the 100 word minimum.

Thank you for your comment, I too thought that having that roof in the picture took attention away from the main focus. I will someday take it out, but right now I am going to leave it there because I am focusing on other pictures right now. Thank you again for your fair and lovely comment.

This image has such a mystical otherworldly feel to it that I love a LOT!!!

So glad that you have this golden tinting to it as it gives it that something special that regular b&w just would have not done justice to.

I didn't add the tint color that was how the sky really looked. Thank you so much for the wonderful comment.

This one might be my new favorite of yours. I love the intricate webwork of branches against the contrasting, gradual cloud cover. dark, yet beautiful.

nicely done on the composition. the trees give a good reference. the only distracting bit is in the bottom left corner, i guess it's a roof of a house or something, but sometimes things like that cannot be helped. good job on the exposure as well.

also if you plan on doing a good bit of photography, even getting better equipment, i suggest getting an air bulb blower to clean off your lenses when you need to. it makes life a lot easier.

Thank you for the advice. The particles are also inside my camera lens and I have done my best to keep the outer lens clean.
You are correct about the house roof. I do plan to try editing it out once it get Photoshop CS5, as of right now I have the elements program and it basically is sucky so I don't want to try very big editing projects

c41atomica In reply to Sami27 [2013-04-19 03:27:02 +0000 UTC]

you're most welcome. oh that's no good that you have debris inside your camera. i'd recommend either taking it to get cleaned or upgrading to a new camera.

a nice rule of thumb to do before you take a picture is to look at each corner of the frame to see if there is something there that is distracting and that'll save you a lot of editing work later.
