I think maybe I should draw the black knight with such details sometime

The hard work, and all the love and heart that you put in all of your artworks can be clearly seen. I can totally see the effort you put into this stunning piece, and I am so glad I found this artwork because it is so... I don't know how to put it but the best choice of words would be... REFRESHING! >8D Because I love the epic blue colors that are in this picture and I love how the colors of the majestic creature complement and look amongst the colors of the BG as well as the beautiful celestial object! ^Jumpergirl303^ LOVE the colours!!! But I would recommend making the head a good deal larger and the shoulder and hindquarters a bit smaller. Great job
^fetherhd^ I like the detail in his wings...maybe make his head a little larger and his hooves a little smaller
^NewAgeStables^ This piece has a great colour scheme to it; everything has contrast but fits together at the same time. I compliment you on your wings and the detailing in the feathers; I could never do that without several hours of study. As for the horse itself: The front legs feel awkward. They look as if they connect at the front of the chest, which is not the case in horses. I would also thicken the tail; it feels useless there; it also seems odd that it is so flowy when nothing suggests a wind to let it travel that direction. I would also make the head and neck larger while minimizing how large the shoulders and withers currently are.
^Reticant-Nemesis^ I really love the colours and how they sort of bounce off each other. However, the only thing is that the shoulder/head looks a bit out of proportion.

i really love how you did the wings.. could the shoulder of the horse be too big? or is the neck and head to small..
i really like the mane and tail. i looks really pretty. the swirls in the background gives it all a nice touch. however the moon looks like it doesnt belong there. maybe it has to do with shading or something..
overall this is a beautiful piece of work and i think you have a lot of talent ^^

It's evident that you took your time with the wings and tail, and it really does well to make the piece look well-composed! Keep with the attention to detail and the effective, strong shading that you seem to have a knack for, and you'll be well on your way to producing some truly fantastic art.
For some reason, the simplicity of the 'smile' seems to take a bit away from the sinister, mystic look of the rest of the character. If I could nail it down to a specific trait, I would say it's probably just that it's a very smooth line, and doesn't show much contouring of the lips or mouth shape. Still, a great piece overall. The whisps around the body and hooves bring it all together as a solid, finished piece. Certainly keep up the lovely work!

yes this picture did take a very long time, but i am happy with it. I suppose your right about the mouth. I'll have to play around with that a bit, though it seems a bit hard as they dont have large mouths

Hey Sammacha! It's been awhile! I've been such a quiet lurker lately.
Anyways, I've been meaning to comment on this piece way back when it was posted. So, please forgive me for my tardiness:
As the other users said, i think you did a fantastic job on those feathered wings, mane and tail. All those fine details make it really, really nice to look at. I also love those wispy-like hooves. I imagine this is one hasty black pegaseus!
I'll give a bit of criticism as well, since you are looking for it:
I feel as though the shading of the muscles on the pegaseus' neck are a bit too dark. Well, i have nearly no knowledge of pegaseus/horse anatomy, but the darkest areas seem to make it look too apparent, i think.
Nevertheless, Keep up the nice work!

Hmm well.. yes i have been wondering about the shading and colors. It might be peoples screens since i dont have a new LCD screen the colors may appear different. I mean it looks nice and dark on my screen with a blue BG but when I wen tto print it at the store it was purple.. What?!

Well as you know I'm always trying to improve. This is sorta what I've always been aiming for when it comes to my creatures and its very hard to do with pencil crayons!!!
It took me a long time to complete, Im not sure if its done really! ha ha
Anyways yeah its a bit different then my normal style because i have only done a few small quick digital creatures.And I often draw anime which I'm not very good at. Im mush better at the animal dont you think?
