I really hate to be the history nerd here, but I've seen some of the script of the play and the majority of the play happens in 1823, a good seven years before the French Revolution of 1830.

quick note: the revolution in Les Miserables is the Students' Revolution of 1832. Not the French Revolution. Sorry, don't mean to be picky, but still...
