It's not often that I see a Mattrex pic, but this one is Magnifique! In fact, he's also my favorite maverick from Megaman X5, for two reasons.
1. He's the only dinosaur based maverick.
2. He's also the only maverick that has spines very similar to that of Godzilla's spines.

any reptilian characters as villains
all the time.

Hmm... Well if you ask me, most reptiles, like Dragaunus and Smaug are villains, and usually, I think they're cool, but don't mind the heroic reptilian characters.
