FINALLY I've completed my second Mucha styled piece, this time of my own characters, Vestrell Snowflower. This took me quite a long time to do and I've been working on it non stop. @_@ The lighting/shading gave me difficulty, as I'm already not the best at it and since the light is BEHIND her it made it more difficult.The character is a priest but in roleplay she use to train as a druid and now stands in for her deceased father with the cenarion circle as a representative between the circle and the temple of moon. She takes over much of her fathers work.
And so I made sure her oufit contained a slight druid look as well, with the small amount of leather. The cloak she wears is something she got from her best friend when hiding from a dangerous enemy with her.
Anyways..I'll be including this in my portfolio.

Any skill can be done over time :3 Hell I'm only to this point because I've been doing it since elementary school NON stop. At least draw every week since. Steady hands can be a bit of a challenge though, I understand.

Well having ADHD doesnt help, but my hands are good for guns. I'm very good with a gun my dad says i could shoot a target 5 miles away without a scope if i tried

Oooh! I want her... skirt? Somehow I'm just staring at it in marvel at how you managed to draw such cloth so well. And lovely details overall, the organic feel is really present here! Really Mucha! <3

Thankyou :3 That means a lot to me because my abilities to draw cloth have never been strong, in my personal opinion. I'm trying to get better at it but sometimes my mind just can't comprehend how it's suppose to drape or look >.< Kal'dorei jewelry/trinkets are one of my favorite to draw into the outfit designs.

Oh, yes! Cloth is difficult. I'm unable to control the kind of cloth I draw. Sometimes it's this cloth, sometimes it's that. I really hafta practise drawing it.

Another lovely piece! Mucha is one of my favorite artists from the Art Nouveau period. Very inspirational! I've found that I've been attempting to reproduce the style as well, but nothing has turned out how I expected XD but I absolutely love that you've been able to do it, especially with wow related characters! Keep up the great work!

I'm worried I'm going to run out of ideas on how to take on the style. I have another portfolio piece to do of my hunter and I'm unsure how that one will turn out.

I wish I could share a book that I have of Mucha's work with you to help add some inspiration. He did a lot of adds for magazines, shows, and such. Also he liked to do a few series of images, like triptychs and such. Some of my favorites are of his interpretations of the seasons, or day verses night themed paintings. Finding poses and creating composition and such should be easy, natural contours, relaxed figures, soft curves. I'm sure you will find something, sometimes the hardest part is planning the composition

really nice picture!!! i simply love her body (in a none sexist way) you did it really well, theres nice weight to her pose, looks very natural!
the head bothers my a little bit though, i think her forehead might be a bit too short, might just be the hair that makes it look like that, but even with the hair i think it probly should have been taller.

Actually originally her hair was higher up but it looked very out of place and her head looked to tall. Keep in mind your viewing her head from a higher view, not straight on.

Thanks. I've been playing with a set outfit to display her with for awhile and honestly it's still a bit to question but she wears the priest tier that is green with the gold and the tree on the front when representing the druids and priests in one (she's leader of a group in my guild that are focused around elune and cenarius) so the colours seemed right.
The only consistant thing at all times is her cloak. That has to be in her outfit at ALL times due to its RP aspect @_@
Either way..I LOVE designing armor/outfits X3 I wish I worked for Blizzards art department sometimes simply for that reason.
