I really love that girl and her south American flare. I hope they run her soon, as it is highly irresponsible not to work a locomotive that is in fact in working condition.

a half hour with some polish and a wire brush and those rods would gleam like new. XD I love #40. She is one of my favorite narrow gauge locomotives. Does the museum own her now?

Yes sir, she stays at the museum, and her sister #44 as of yet STILL is in pieces scattered around the grounds. In recent memory #40 was run as an oil burner the year before last or so during December because the museum's baby #346 set a nearby field on fire. XD That one was promptly fitted with a C&S beartrap smokestack, being a coal burner.

I first met her when she was working at Georgetown. She looked so awesome rolling across the Devil's Gate. But I loved her especially when she was on the White Pass. She just looked good running across the Dawson.
Has she been run recently? Be a shame to let her sit.

Last I saw was Christmas two years ago. She's kept in operable condition but doesn't get run much. There's lots of equipment available for the museum's use, honestly, so its understandable. Can't run everything at once...
