First of all before I start this story I have to say that I have mixed feelings towards the character of Fiona Fox. It's a mix between love, hate and pity. Love because well, she's hot. Pity because of her feeling forgotten after no one ever rescued her, there's also the fact that she's a fallen heroine which I find especially tragic. And finally hate because of the fact she not only chose to become evil but she became so cruel as well. I also have to state how there were moments in the comics where Sonic has snapped and even threatened to kill villains if his morals didn't hold him back even Scourge said that all it would take is one bad day for Sonic to become just like him. There was a form in the Anime Sonic X that I feel perfectly captures Sonic's dark inner nature which is called Dark Sonic. So this story is going to be a scenario involving all of these things.

It had all happened so fast. After Silver helped them defeat Mecha Sally and restore her free will along with dethroning Naugus, everything seemed to be looking up for once. But then one day they got ambushed by the Destructix when they went to investigate an abandoned laboratory. And Scourge was leading them.
Flying Frog and Predator Hawk were ganging up on Tails and T-pup. Lightning Lynx and Sergeant Simian fought Sally and Amy. While Fiona Fox and Scourge fought Sonic. Sonic was starting to lose hard. Scourge was kicking him while he was down while Fiona laughed at him.
Sonic turned to look at Fiona who only smirked.
"Why?" Sonic couldn't help but ask.
"Hmmhmm! Oh, Sonic I always hated you." Fiona said cruelly while looking down on him.
"Hahahaha little goody two-shoes!" teased Scourge.
Sonic then looked around to see all his friends incapacitated then he turned to see Sally's Mechanical body torn in half with Sergeant simian about to crush her head. Then something in Sonic snapped. A nearby glass container holding Power Gems started to glow with an ominous dark aura. The Chaos Emerald in Scourge's possession also began to glow with the same ominous light. Then a pitch black mist started to envelop Sonic.

Then Sonic disappeared in a blur of motion knocking Scourge and Fiona off-balance.
Sonic then reappeared in a strange dark form. His pupils and mouth had disappeared, his fur had turned black and his skin a dark gray. Sonic's first act in this form was to break Sergeant Simian's arms and ribs then smash Lightning Lynx into the wall. He then reappeared and spin-dashed flying frog against the floor until it caused him to cough out blood before breaking Predator Hawk's back against his knee. Before he finally appeared next to Scourge and began smashing his head against the floor before picking him up and turning him to face him then smacking him in the face repeatedly.

Scourge was gasping for air with his face turned black and blue and missing a few teeth.
"Please no more!" Scourge begged.
"Oh, what's wrong? Isn't this what you wanted? To get me to snap and break my moral code?" asked Dark Sonic scathingly.
He then tossed Scourge away like trash. Sonic didn't just become more violent, but his voice had also changed becoming more gruff and guttural. Fiona didn't recognize Sonic at all.
Sonic then turned to Fiona who took a step back in fear. He grabbed her by the neck and began to squeeze. Fiona turned to look at Scourge who just ran away leaving her alone to die at the hands of This Thing that Sonic had become. She loved him and had done everything for him only to be betrayed and left for dead. She then turned to Sonic.
"I'm so sorry. I messed up, I-I can start over." She gasped out the words as tears left her eyes.
"You don't mean that. Do you know how much I wanted to believe that there was still good in you and that we could at least be friends again? I loved you! But you just kept stabbing us in the back, you hurt me, you hurt my friends. Why should I believe you now?! Well, I guess that doesn't matter now because you won't be hurting us anymore!" Sonic said with a genuinely hurt tone in his voice as he tightened his grip.
She remembered how Sonic felt when she stopped looking at him the same way due to her then secret relationship with Scourge. Fiona only felt even more ashamed as she remembered how unnecessarily cruel she had been to Tails when she had slapped him, Tails was just a kid. She had known trust would be hard to earn back after what she did. She had no way out of this and she had done this all to herself. Fiona was no longer the strong confident fox she normally was, now once again she was the scared trapped little girl she had been all those years ago. All she could do was let out a silent scream as Sonic slowly squeezed the life out of her.
"Sonic Stop!" a voice cried out, it was Sally.
Sonic turned to look at the sad blue eyes of his robian girlfriend who was reaching out to him.
"Sonic this isn't you! You're not a killer!" Sally cried out.
Tears began to stream out from Sonic's eyes as he dropped Fiona and returned to normal.
Fiona then ran away crying to herself.
"I've been so unfair to you Sonic!" Fiona said as she ran.
Fiona was a shameless thrill-seeker at heart and that had been what had drawn her to Scourge and his rebellious nature. She had held on to a grudge, hurt her friends and went out of her way to be with a man that in the end didn't truly love her. She remembered how she had called Sonic weak all that time ago for following his moral code because from a young age she had become convinced that everyone being selfish was the way of the world and yet now when he finally broke it she had become terrified of him.

"What's wrong with me?!" Fiona asked herself.
