something i drew up a few months back when i saw someone elses redesigns on various fighting game characters, and decided i would try it myself.Β because i thought with their imposed changes the characters had now lost all of the visual identity and completely missed the original point.Main idea was to make Cammy I suppose, look more serious without compromising her silhouette/appearance. And because I drew it she has thighs like whoa.
Important point - Delta Red has always worn form fitting gear, both the men and women. No reason to change it.
- Changed the beret. I think the other military hat suits her better.
- Compression sleeves for the arms
- More modest cut on the one piece
- Kneepads from Cannon Spike
- More compression for the legs
- The leg patterns are part of her visual, so I put them on the compression gear.
The issue now is that she no longer fits in visually with the rest of the SF aesthetic, unless you adjust the rest.

I like it.Β I think of the major flaws of Street Fighter is that they don't change their outfits at all.Β In Street Fighter V Cammy is still wearing the same leotard she wore in Super Street Fighter 2.Β It's nice to have the original costumes as an option, but you would think that by now there would have been some type of progression in the attire of the fighters based on where they are in their lives.
This design takes elements from her SSF2 and SFA outfits mixed with your own flare and it turned out great.

i guess they dont want to change things too much for some characters. especially considering that alternate costumes are an option now in street fighter games. minor changes here and there are fine like cammy's holsters or the fact that m.bison now sports a coat. given what we've seen of birdie/nash and now ken, i think theyre saving the bigger design changes for characters who's gameplay styles have been changed quite dramatically

i couldn't agree more, i need proof to believe those kinda rumors though i hope other characters from the alpha/3rd strike make it in as well for this as well like urien and birdie.

Awesome Cammy redesign. Would love to see her have this outfit! Alot of the old SF character designs are horribly old-fashioned, and sadly Cammy is one of them... which is hard to admit, seeing she's my favourite character.

i think the the sf2 designs are still good, theyve got a timeless quality to them, especially when you look at them as a group.

Wearing a bathing suit as a battle suit is very 90's. Comic books have evolved past it and some fighting games as well, like Mortal Kombat and Killer Instinct. I'd like to see something a bit more intricate and modern though. That's just my taste and opinion. ^^
