Description In the Sol System, Saturn's Moon of Titan becomes an important testing ground for experimental vehicles and mobile weapons. When the Special Tasks Division of the UEG needed a newer M.A.V. to replace the older models from the Martian Uprising, they put a heavy focus on all-around utility. They didn't want an M.A.V. that had to be customized or refitted for every mission, they wanted something that could handle every situation they would throw at it. Unlike the LJC Colonial Administration, per-unit cost was not a priority. The result was a machine that was the pride of the Titan Manufacturer's Guild. Named simply "The Slayer" because of its devastating automatic railcannon capable of slicing through even the thickest of armor, the design of these vehicles and their weapon became a state secret and thus they were only produced on Titan as needed. This prompted the addition of the moon to the unit's name(as in a slayer of titans instead of a slayer from titan) and sometimes even supplanted it as many found the name "Titan" more appropriate.

Soldiers lucky enough to pilot them began referring to these elite M.A.V.'s by the nickname "Zeus" because their cannons hit like lightning bolts from Olympus. They eventually made a secondary version that focused on stationary defense and artillery support codenamed "Bastion" that became popular for pilots that specialized in ground combat because the heavy weapons could be detached quickly, turning an artillery unit into a high-speed brawler on the fly. The Bastion alternate was not however well adapted to space combat because the original was far superior in that environment.

While somewhat smaller than the M-Con Foxhounds, the materials and technology used in the Titan Slayer are several orders greater in performance resulting in a far faster and deadlier machine. The consolation for forces at odds with the UEG is that the Titans always remain few in number, often being relegated to commanders of flights of lesser mass-production M.A.V.'s.

So when working on a top-tier Mecha, I was of course heavily influenced by my favorites. Namely Tallgeese, the Kampfer and the Gundam Ez-08. A little Blue Destiny and Eva-00 leaked in aesthetically as well.
