Description Ok, so the last pic WASN'T the final version. But this one is. I fixed the proportions AND added a weapon. Though I never have been very good at weapon design... Anyhoo. It's kinda a big pic, I just couldn't resist all the cool poses. ^_^ Standard weaponry, an MG and heat blade. I might make a few more weapons and different colors, but other then that, it's finished.

Damn this is nice..

textures are a bit stretched in places, but the colours you've used suit the mech well..

I might try a mech as my next project, and this is trully an inspiring piece.

I'll go check out your gallery for a bit more inspiration.

awesome job! pretty good feet, and a nice armored core look to it... you should make a fullwhite cell render with black lines, or something, just to make it easier to see all the polys and details

Thanks. ^_^ The problem with that is that it'd prolly make all the problems painfully evident as well, heh.

Ooh, very Decepticon like. I've never tried doing a mecha, but I know who to come to for help if I ever do! That's really very good. The poses are very dynamic, and they show it off really well.

Hehe, thanks. ^_^ I'm really not that good, I think I just got lucky with this one. I do like the poses tho.

This is great, textures are a little... ehh... yeah... cell shading would be nice. the models themselves kickass though, so does the overall colorscheme. great work

Thanx. Yeah, I'll try and upload the cell shaded version today, though I have a feeling it won't look that great....

Looks good, i'm not sure if I like the texturing though. Have you considered cell shading it?

Neo-Epsilon In reply to Supa-Daemonic [2004-05-10 23:16:04 +0000 UTC]

Thanks. I haven't tried it yet. I'm considering, though DoGA cell shading isn't too great. I dunno, I guess I'll see how it looks...

I don't think i've heard of that program before. As long as the program has a falloff map and self illumination it should turn out damn cool.

Ack, hit submit before I meant too. ANyway. It's good for making mecha and stuff, but texturing of any kind in it is kinda sad... At any rate, I'm not too worried about it at this point as its only my second real model. (unless you include the mighty Robo Chicken ^^)

I'll have to check out the program. Have you ever used one of the bigger packages like 3dsmax, maya or lightwave?

Neo-Epsilon In reply to Supa-Daemonic [2004-05-11 01:10:06 +0000 UTC]

Nah. No way I can afford it, and DLings out too, as I have 56k. I have to rely on realatively small free/shareware. But it works. Good enough for me, anyway.

Well what matters is that your happy with your choice of program, and it's always good becuase it could give your art a unique style.

If your interested in trying 3dsmax 6 you could download the thirty day trial version from [link]

It should take a about 5 to 7 hours to download.

Heh, niether. I stink at just pure modelling, so I use DoGA: [link]
