Description
An exploration vessel seemed most fitting as I've been working on refining my galactic map. I'm also feeling a bit nostalgic for the days when Star Trek was about seeking out new life and new civilizations, wondering if we'll ever get another sci-fi show with a focus on the unknown...

The number of sectors the Milky Way is divided into will be increased to 216(36 10-degree slices each circum, 6 circums) and the core. Eventually I'll make a series of charts with the proper locations for everything but so far the Union and M-Con sectors have names, which only accounts for about 23% of those that need designations. If the average sector was a square, each side would be about 1370 lightyears. Most sectors range between 300 million and 4.8 billion stars, depending on their location in relation to the galaxy's arms and core. Even after a sector is claimed by one of the major factions, there is always more to explore and discover as only a relatively few systems will be heavily developed and regions will remain largely uncharted if the initial survey vessels don't detect anything to indicate particular interest(intelligent life, rare resources).

I might have to add some extra sectors later for Magellanic Clouds and the like but they are a ways off before they could affect the storyline. For now, more writing and painting XD
