Description
The capitol planet of the Orion Alliance lies within the Phoebus System, on the far side of the galaxy from Sol.

The L-3 Exodus Fleet had originally intended to settle in the Orion Nebula, however when met with alien aggression they altered course. The further they traveled, the more dangerous their journey became. They encountered numerous intelligent species, nearly all of whom were also running. Not from members of their own kind with different ideologies but from the Saurian Empire, bent on eliminating anything it determined to be a obstacle to its sprawling bulk's advance. The first of these refugees met by the human exiles was a small fleet of transports carrying all that remained of the Yerva civilization. Lost and without hope, these remnants came together to increase their chances for survival. Over time, more and more would join them.

When they finally reached a place distant enough from both Earth and the Saurians, a large nebula dubbed "New Orion" for the hope the original represented, they were an alliance of 17 core species with humans being to most populous. Their new star was named for Phoebus Apollo, the most habitable planet called "Tholos" for the place where their seat of government would reside in regards to an ancient settlement (devoted to Asclepius, son of Apollo) from a home they would never see again. From there they would build new cities, colonies and fleets, merging their technologies, cultures and in some cases their very DNA through advanced genetic convergence.

To the humans of Earth, they are no longer brethren and their society reeks of alien influences. To the far distant M-Con, they are thought lost to the ravages of space. For all those in their region who live on worlds in the path of Saurian expansion, they are a shining beacon of hope on a dark and unforgiving sea of stars.
