I just stumbled across this! And it's awesome! It's not really the quality or the concept... well, it is the concept!
It's just, this blew my mind because it's virtually the exact image I had in my mind of the final boss of a conceptual, believe it or not, Mana fangame!
The only thing that would make it exactly like my image is if the sci-fi soldier were replaced with a wild-west gunslinger with a cavalry sword in one hand and a six-shooter in the other.
It's a very strange concept I have...
Anywho, this gets my fav. for just extracting an image from my mind and making it real.

This image has to speak to anyone who has spent a few too many hours playing video games. Gives me a sort of Mass Effect "this battle is gonna take a few tries" feeling. I think the near 'perfect' symmetry of the boss contrasts well with the asymmetry of the person, making the person seem 'real' and the boss seem otherworldly. The honeycombs make a nice foundation for the image.
