Description
Basically a quick sketch of my own take on megalodon, which is often represented as an oversized great white shark. Tried to break that tendency with some small tweaks on the physiology and an interesting colouration

nice, though using comparative anatomy and phylogeny this is a highly unlikely reconstruction of the animal

white sharks are a pretty close apoximation of what we think the animal looked like BUT copy pasting it isnt accurate
it was probably quite a deal more robust and didnt have the same kind of eyes as a white shark
porbeagles and salmon sharks are the prime influences id use for a reconstruction of any megatooth
the eye wouldnt have the black sclera of makos and white sharks but would be something similar to the surrounding skin around the eyeΒ
and for coloration a 3 part pattern would be most likely
a dark top,shimmering and silvery sides, and a white bottom with each area distinctΒ

its just i see a lot of people are pretty rude about critique like this and i dont want to perpetuate that in the deviantart paleoart community

Oh right, I forgot the paleoart community is pretty terrible here lol, don't worry, I'm not like that (besides that I'm fully aware my artworks are inaccurate most of the time)
