Description Pointy fishe -<><

Behold! It is him........ Ornithoprion (meaning "bird saw", because who doesn't think of birds when seeing that head right). This lil' (? I dont know its size tbh) fella is one of the few Eugeneodontids we have a full skull of, revealing a pointy snout, with an EVEN POINTIER lower jaw giving it a swordfish look. This species is famous for clearing up the mystery about Helicoprion's tooth whorl position. It is hypothesized that it was a benthic animal that used its lower jaw to unearth hard-shelled animals, which were then crushed with its blunt tooth whorl. Honestly, when I saw the skull it seemed like a heavily streamlined animal and the lower jaw seemed more like a piercing structure than anything, so I went for a "fast swimmer" look, enjoy!
