Always hated that moment in LotR that Middlearth dragons are somehow inferior to eagles. I mean, come on, everyone knows that dragons are superior to anything, it's dragons we are talking about! A flying, fire-breathing, tough-as-nails beautyful reptiles. And eagles are... birds. Just your regular overgrown stupid birds. They aren't even ravens or magpies, or other cool birds, they are just stupid eagles...
Oh well, guess JJ just realy loved eagles.

Usually I start with a rough sketch of the poses I want, then I go look for references. Because fight poses are usually more dynamic, itβs good to get the anatomy and pose right. After that, itβs just deciding on the colors and lighting and finally rendering everything up.
