(or maybe not lol) We will also know his true name!Ok, I read it. it definitely wasn't Clive Barker's best, sadly. It was only 300+ pages long, and I'd seen on the amazon reviews that it was supposed to be around 1000 pages and some editor culled it down. If that was really the case, then that editor really did the book a huge disservice.
Here's to hoping there will be a "director's cut" of the book eventually. T__T

I read quite a bit of Clive Barker in my teens. Some of my favs - Weaveworld, Imajica, Sacrament.
I didn't watch all of the Hellraiser movies, as I much prefer the written word to visual horror, but I love the very iconic look of Pinhead and The Lament Configuration.

I just have to say I absolutely love the first few Hellraiser films (1&2 especially) which eventually got me to try some of Clive Barker's work. I'm a newcomer you see because so far I've only read Cabal & of course The Hellbund Heart but I still have to get into his more famous works such as Weveworld and Imajica.
But my interest peaked when I found out about his character Harry D'Amour so I want to have a look at his stuff but on top of that I realised he was going to be a major character in this book and frankly I became so hyped for the release of this. The story sounds too good what with the whole travelling to hell thing going on so I hope he delivers that at least.
As for the picture it is a a brilliant illustration of the character, and you have managed to capture the iconic look of the films from this stunning recreation. Excellent job fellow deviant

Yes, it's taken me a while but I really like his writing.
He's like Poe, Tolkien & Lovecraft all rolled into one but maintains his own signature style as well
In some respects he even surpasses Stephen King.
Those are just some of my opinions:
Anyway like I said before. Never have I highly anticipated a book more than The Scarlet Gospels
because it is all to do with the Cenobites and how they came to be (stuff like that) and I find them endlessly fascinating.
In fact this reminds me that I need to look into his Hellraiser comic series because there are multiple Cenobites. Apart from the original Pinhead, Elliot Spencer, one of them is Kirsty Cotton from the Hellraiser movies and even Barker's own creation Harry D'Amour (Oh and Everville while I'm at it).
But I feel a bit left out not discovering his works earlier in my life because I admire his imagination and his creations but hey...better late than never
