I hope you are still around cause I have a question.
When put on "always visible" it stays in movies i'm watching, games I'm playing. Pretty much everything in fullscreen/windowmode.
Is there a way to "fix" that?

The best way to do that is to set the "transparency" to 100 and then set the "on hover" to fade in. That way it will only show up when you hover over it.

Unfortunately not. To stay on the taskbar, it needs to be always visible.
On the desktop area works fine, just putting "on top";

spotify> edit> preferences> display settings Advanced> Startup and Window behavior> the close button minimizes the spotify window into the tray

try commenting the line: "; PlayerName = Spotify" in Controls.ini or remove it

worked for me in the win10 groove music, spotify, and AIMP3
But if you have more of an open music application, it will work on all at once.
