Description
Ink & watercolor painting.The 4:th portrait in line of the Poison series. This time featuring the berry of the Strychnos nux-vomica tree. Please read and see more of this series here: sandrahultsved.deviantart.com/…
I will just call this done now, even though I'm not totally satisfied with it, but my eyes has worn out on it and I can't find what will make it better. I'm open to constructive criticism that I CAN still make better with this.

The eyes are so full of pain it breaks my heart. The folds on the shirt are beautifully done and I really like the placement of the lock of hair overlapping it. I love how with this portrait the berry juice has a blood like appearance that indicates it being a poison. Even for someone that doesn't know about your poison series, between that clue and the overall sorrow of the painting I think they would be able to figure out what you intended for the piece.

Yes indeed, most of the times I guess my picture are very subtle, but now I wanted to do something more direct. I think the series needs is and it's fun to make

It might take me months to catch up on commenting sometimes, but I always feel I need to put it off for when I have the time to really look the artwork over. I would much rather leave a meaningful comment showing I noticed everything that was put into it instead of a few quick words. I do love the poison series and very much look forward to seeing what will come next.

Yeah, sometimes I find it difficult to leave comments also. As you said, it's not that I'm not amazed by the artwork. I just can't always think of a way to express it in words that isn't repeating myself over and over again. I usually will find at least one specific aspect of the artwork that makes it stand out to include in the comment. It's much easier for me to figure out when the artwork has deep meaning like all of your works

So wonderful.
I admit, this one is my favourite for your serie. Her desperate gaze is really deeply emotional, and looking infact the close-up, we can see her fallen hope go away from her heart, and seems she trying to say us the reason of her decision.
She's so pure and delicate. I simply love this work

I've never heard about this tree before. It was interesting to read about it.
For me, previous three portraits seems to be more restrained and this one more emotional and even heartbreaking because of colour presence and her sight to viewer. I also like these red spots and stains on her face and hand.. Excellent work
Beauty and gentle creepiness of these works really enchants. They awake so many associations and metaphors, i think it's great.

Yes, I felt like it was time to mess it up a bit, give it more of a feel, like you say. And I like when it's not all too perfect. Next I would like to show even more of the ugly symptoms, if I would do more that is

It's really, really nice. I think it's all fine, I especially like the stains on her face. Maybe the ear is a bit weird, it'd probably look better covered with her hair.
