I appreciate that, Joe. I think you'll really enjoy having a macro lens. I started out with Canon's close-up lens because it works well and is a lot less expensive. At least I was able to get close ups until I could save up for the macro lens! [link]

A nice to know Sandy! Iยดm using a close up lense on my Panasonic (all my macro shots, flower shots) and it works wonderful. Now I wanna a real macro lense, a short one! In October after my first month as elemtary teacher I could afford it! Iยดm deciding between the Tamron 60mm 2.0 or the sigma 70mm 2.8. The only thing that makes it hard to decide is that the Sigma also works on FF, but costs more and the Tamron only on APS-C, but it`s cheaper... Hmm.

Oh, that's so exciting, Joe! October is almost here. One of my favorite friends here on dA, Tina, uses a Tamron. She used to be Macro moderator here, among other things. Here's one photo---the first one I clicked on in her Gallery right now: [link] That mushroom is teeny tiny.
I'm sure that whichever lens you decide to choose, it'll be a good choice!

Oh, no. I'm sorry. What's a "therm"? Is that what we call a heater?

It taste good, but get that hornet/ yellow jacket away from me. I got stung by a wasp recently, and I'd forgotten how much that can hurt. The were building a nest in my automobile!

This is a Hover Fly. And it's teeny tiny, about the size of a pin, but shorter. They don't bite or string, of course.

You mustn't demonstrate pain, but rather a serious demeanor while observing the way it takes moments to set in and ache, and after a while sends chilling tremors up your spine and into your brain. Then go and report the sensations to Red in the wheelchair who owns the Fort Fischer Trading Post, otherwise known as "Red's".
At least that's what I did.

Oh, yes---I just found it in your gallery. Very nice!
The thing is, they're so tiny it's hard to notice them even after they land!

Yes, they sure do! Even the leaves taste like lemons. One of my dogs keeps "stealing" them (the leaves) and eating them!
