I told you I'd draw it. Eragon and his baby dragon in the hay. Whose else has major cavities now?
Ignore Eragon's other arm over there...I was trying to do some perspective stuff and it just totally died. Ignore the boy...look at the dragon...look at the dragon...look at the sickeningly cute, squishy, feathery baby dragon...
Eragon's clothes are totally from memory, so they're probably off by a long shot. *thinks* He looks like a cross between Cliff off of Harvest Moon and a friend of mine from class...who also liked the movie (though he prefered the book).
Yeah, too bad I didn't draw this in class, or I could've had him model for me...and maybe then I would've gotten that arm right. XPI was also having trouble with his near hand, so I grabbed my pitchfork and tossed a bunch of hay in front of it. Ha, no more hand.
*steals baby dragon* Cute little booger, isn't she?

I like the movie too. Because it was filmed in Hungary, mostly.

I watched the movie before I read the books. It help me with visualizing what the characters in the book looked like. I just finished Brisingar. I loved it!![link]

That was the only thing I enjoyed about the movie. Saphira was the only thing they got right, well, accept for you flying off and then two seconds later coming back a gigantic thing. BAH! But the baby really WAS cute.

I read the book over New Year's and yeah, they changed a LOT. I mean, they even left out the part about dropping rocks on the Urgals - that would've made a great comic relief scene if nothing else.

Ah well, it is usually pretty hard to make a written story into a performed story. I'll probably read the book eventually, but I saw the movie first.. so it will always be my favorite. ^^ Hehe

Please, don't watch the movie! Only watch it if you WANT to have your eyes melt out of their sockets and your brain explode. It was HORRIBLE. I wanted to find the director and shoot him. ONLY if you want to see how bad it was, should you watch it. Its equivalent is shoving a cleaver through the book and sauteing it with five cloves of garlic. Then, after you have read it, when watching, you will feel like you are the one murdering the book just by watching. Sorry if I am being overdramatic, but really, I am ashamed for buying the movie. But the only reason I bought the movie was to watch it. I had yet to know what i was buying....

Okay, but is the DVD worth renting anyway JUST for the bonus materials? I'm very fascinated with behind-the-scenes animation procedures, 2D and 3D, and I'm bettin' th' dragon was a helluva beast to control.
Yeah, I've read the book -- finished it long ago. Can't say I have the same gut-wrenching reaction against it like you did, but I wasn't moved at all. Big disappointment; I dunno how the hell that kid got his book published so quickly while better authors struggled for YEARS to get A manuscript published...

You know, you're the olny person I know so far that said that they actually LIKED the movie. Everyone I know online hated it because of the stupid inconsistancies with the book, among other things.

Well, I haven't gotten to reading the book yet (and likely won't, as I'll have my Christmas presents in two days, and my little brother is currently hogging the book...), so that's probably part of the reason why I enjoyed it.
