So, *Warse-no-Miko is holding a contest to either illustrate one of her fanfics, or rewrite it. I decided to do a bit of fanart since her fanart entries are nil. Seriously, people, where is the art? C'mon, I know there's more Gwevin fanartists out there than just me!
At first, I wanted to do a comic of [link] as Warse said she wished she could draw it. Then I realized...I take forever to draw comics.
So instead, I just drew the climax of the story, in which Gwen is very confused and Kevin looks COMPLETELY helpless and vulnerable because his girl's been turned into a purple glowworm. *shoos the fangirls away from him* Gwen called dibs first, girls. 
Kevin still has half his rock armor on. It means less color variations. *lazy* Anodite Gwen was fun. She's basically a less curvy, green-eyed version of Verdona, though...I might should've made her look a little more distinctive.Background is total texture brush abuse. <3 eet.

And if you read the fanfic, you'd know that no, it's nothing at all like right before the end of Avatar.

And the best part is, that light effect is REALLY EASY. You just draw the white part of the hair on its own layer, select it, expand the selection by a few pixels, and then fill the new empty area with the glow color (in this case purple/pink, but you can do whatever). Then you select the outside of the glow area (where there's empty pixels), and apply a big Gaussian blur to it. Then you expand that selection (so you've now got some of the glow selected) and apply a smaller blur. Then deselect everything so you're affecting the whole layer, and apply an even smaller blur.

so don't come with the whole there's not enough Gwevin stuff, we don't need another Robin/Starfire Zuko/Katara Danny/Sam going crazy pairings much.

I'm not saying there's not enough Gwevin art on DA. I'm saying there's not enough fanart entries for Warse's contest (there's two other fanarts, but they were gifts/commissions for her, so they're not counted as entires).
