well the male killer can be a "transient" but the transient has a pointy dorsal fin. but this male doesn't have a pointy dorsal fin its kinda a "residents" but i guess it doesn't matter their killer whales and they are so cute.

your so lucky you have seen them! I really want to see them, but the closet resident pod lives about an hour away in Monterey bay and are elusive. One day I want to get a sail boat or something and see if I can find them to photograph them

this is so beautiful! i love the huge difference between the males' tall dorsal fin, and the other whale's short, curved one
