Description "I think you dropped something *bubble noises*"

Quick undersea test thing I did. I may enhance it in the future for portfolio reasons.

I would like to thank Iain McCaig for inspiring
me to paint underwater weirdos.

This is one badass underwater weirdo.
I LOVE the design of his face and the angle, it really makes me feel like I interrupted something and he's not very pleased about it. For an even more underwatery feeling, you could try to paint a glaze of blue on everything beyond the rope in the foreground and see how it looks - underwater stuff tends to "look far" pretty fast compared to objects in regular aerial perspective, and underwater light is very blue-green. Just something I would personally try out, not sure if it could work on this specific piece
Great job. I have a lot to learn from your productivity and dedication!

Glad you find him badass! I thought I'd let the viewer
in on this piece, I'm happy it worked!
You're totally right on the water physics and visuals; I
took into consideration that water was way denser than
air, but never really translated the fact well enough for
the piece. I did make a blue-to-darker-blue gradient to
show the sea level division, though, but it could be
enhanced. I might revise it for the portfolio, though, so
I'll try to take in every bit of information.

Really happy to hear that from you! I'll definitely keep at it.

This looks pretty cool! this experiment came up very well, you have got to make a whole underwater series SaneKyle!
Probably you could even make it a bit darker at the bottom, it would separate it a bit more from the surface, i mean, itΒ΄s just an idea, your work already looks great!

Thanks Carlos! I've been considering making mermaids and stuff
(Just no giant sea serpents because those really freak me out)
You're totally right, I should have made it progress more towards
the darker zone of the ocean. Fortunately, I'll be retouching it in the
future for my portfolio!
Thanks again, man. Glad you like it.

Interesting design. Does it speak our tongue? Or does it keep to its own?

Water is way denser than air, so communicating with human beings would have
to be via telepathy.
