the good'ol SAF-03, now redesingned, and its coolness cranked up to ELEVEN, featured in the now gone, Drakojan Skies Liberation, and in the also lost Drakojan Skies comic
-::technical specifications::-
The AF-3 "Stallion" is the Royal Ethonian Air Force's main Multiple Purpose Atmospheric Fighter. Capable of flying in space for 45 minutes, this fighter is best suited for very high altitude combat.

Code Name: Stallion (previously "vigilante")

Primary Function: Multiple Purpose Atmospheric Fighter

Contractor: Skyglobe Aircraft Company

Piloting:
The AF-3 is piloted by a human or ethonian. There are AI-Piloted versions of this craft, however the organic pilot can be manipulated above their abilities through the help of their oxygen output and onboard health systems.

Crew: Variable
1 or 2. Cockpit serves primary as a single seat fighter. The second compartment, which is mainly used as storage, can house another crewmember in a comfortable and well-secured environment. This compartment does not have any fighter control systems, however there are access panels on the sides of the walls which accesses the ship's oxygen supply for the pilot.

Life and Health Support:
The pilot is constantly under watch for any changes in health or mentality. The seat automatically adjusts to the pilot's body shape to provide the most relaxing and healthy sitting/lying position. Additional medicine may be released into the oxygen supply to alter the current state of the pilot. This allows the pilot to be manipulated by the health officers on the ground.

Cockpit Gravitational Systems (CGS) Manufacturer: Aquarius Group + Science Applications International Corporation

GCS Code Name: "Kitchen Sink with Wings" - We can make anything fly

CGS Specifications:
The pilot is seated within the ship's cockpit "pod". The pilot is surrounded by an artificial, manipulative gravitational system which allows the craft to perform fatal turns, rolls, dives and sudden halts without having the pilot to suffer or even black out under the extreme G-Force. SHOULD THIS SYSTEM FAIL - The results will instantly be fatal for the pilot. Whatever lies within the cockpit can be hurled against the walls or ceiling with the sudden force of over 15 G's. The pilot may turn this system off or regulate it for maximum performance, however it is not recommended.

View & Control Systems 1 - 360:
The outside of the craft's hatch houses very small nano cameras which allows the pilot to have a 360 view all around him without having his vision to be hindered by seeing the controls or his own body. The pilot virtually becomes the craft, supported by the brain-wave uplink systems. This allows there being no manual controls to be manipulated by the pilot in order to fly the craft. If the pilot wishes to speed up, the craft will do so instantly by reading his or her mind. This system may be turned off.

View & Control Systems 2 - Standard:
With this system activated, the pilot has a very wide view of his surroundings, but is hindered by seeing the manual controls, his own body and inner structure of the cockpit. This is like flying any other craft from the 21st century.

Unit Cost: $18M

Engine Manufacturer: Miller Morley National Laboratories

Engine Output: Exact power is classified

Speeds: Mach 8.1 - Additional F.A.S.T. packs may be added to speed up the craft to break orbit.

Craft Length: 40 feet

Craft Wingspan: 35 feet

Craft Weight (Empty): 18 tons

Craft Weight (Maximum): 36 tons

Combat Radius: over 1200 nautical miles

Armament Manufacturer: Strategic Defense Initiative Office

Armament:
Each wing pod may house various missiles and rockets both internally and externally. Two primary weapons are mounted on each 'wing'. A Secondary weapon can be stored in the belly of the ship. An experimental "dust particle collection compartment' system is currently being developed, which allows upgrades to be created by literally re-setting the molecules of the dust and particles which vents into this compartment. This allows the primary cannons to have a stronger output force.

Communications:
The AF-3 has the ability to link up with commercial and military media stations. It also has a constant direct linkup to its current command center which observes every performance of the craft and it's pilot.
It's exact performance and link up speed is classified.

Internal Structure:
The steel-frame is made of a specific alloy, harnessed and manufactured in northern Ethonia.
This allows the craft to perform and withstand fatal G's without stressing the internal systems.
The craft is water-and-space secure for anything under 45 minutes. Exceeding this time will begin to cause stress and likely damage the ship. Repairs are simple.

External Structure - Armor
The Stallion can be outfitted with additional lightweight and extremely durable armor ‘pads’, that can easily be mounted into place.

On-Board repair systems:
The craft houses a nano-repair-gel, which can be released anywhere inside or outside the ship, and automatically patch up or reconnect holes or disconnections. This is only temporary and is not recommended for long use.
There are also nano-health-sprays that can heal up pilot wounds both internally and externally.

Overall the AF-3 has been in service for over 35 years and still holds up as the best fighter in the force.
