Long time I missed some portrait like this one with all the details, the symbolic creatures, the expression of dignity. But now it's there. The eyes are a really good job. I love it.

The most important thing in this illustration is that it's done with traditional media.From that point of view,I hav to say that the selection fo colours to add a blueish tone to everything in Vera's original fur is indescriptibly good. Also the proportions the high detailing and that sly but also beautiful face makes the illustration deserving a +FAV. I may devwatch you because this artwork it's very good and I have the intuition of a whole awesome gallery as well.

The scan is abit Flat - not like your others at all!?. but Beautiful art cant be masked one bit. Most of the insects on her do like dark places so win win kinda.

Amazing detail, although the color scheme seems to blend together too well. Not enough contrast, I think, but maybe that's from the scan, which you said was horrible anyway, or that's just because he character is like that. Nice though, like I said, great detail, like all the little bugs, and hair, and fur patterns. Great work.

When it comes to beautiful things, bugs tend to be overlooked even though some of them are really quite elegant. Mantises in particular come to mind, and I'm so glad you included one.
Otherwise, I second a lot of the comments already made. The concept, drawing, colours, and composition are just gorgeous!
