I've been having some me time to get this finished,i'm pleased with how it came out.This is Kryp,treasure hunting bat-boy working for a rich merchant.
As for whats going to happen next,i'll leave that to you to decide.
Watercolour,coloured pencil,markers and ink.
Edit-Just remembered the mountains are closely based on the Guilin hills in china ^^

Whoa, I just realized that the background is actually upside-down! For a moment there I thought he was in a very large underground cavern. Interesting setting either way. Nice touch. Beautiful character design as well. I like how his wings/hands are like a real bat's, though I suppose he's pretty handy with his feet as a result. Great job!

I LOVE the upside-down perspective. O_O That's something that I don't believe I've ever seen before.
The detail on his fur markings and his wings are amazing, and so is the entire setting.

I definately agree with the guy who removed this piece's post virginity... This pic is awesome! I love seeing Bat furries as well, cause they are so underplayed and under-rated.
And the effect, though awesome, makes my brain feel a little numb inside. >.< Somehow, the awe and numbness combine to make a very interesting pleasant feeling. ^.^ +favs <^\_/^>

Wow Sangluna! This is really fantastic!! I love seeing bat anthros because they always look so different from style to style, and I must say I think yours is one of my favorites! The face and wings look amazing, and the anatomy and pose are so perfect! I really love the overall feeling of this piece, the scene is so well done, and the background is so intriguing! The background - it's FANTASTIC. Wonderful usage of colours, and wispy swirly goodness. The texture on Kryp's wings looks so real, actually, the whole picture has this "I could almost touch it if I liked" feel to it. Milk hanging from one of his braids is ADORABLE. x3 And the upside down effect... +stares in awe+ *-*
Do you intend on selling prints of this? If so, I really should put some money aside and get myself a print of it. It's just... awesome work. 83
