Normally, I don't beg for anything. But PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE spread this around deviantART. MAYBE it will be noticed by the developers and User Interface staff!! I think this might be a good idea, what about you?

Well, that's what I suggest. Take a look at the picture!

I suggest that the comment faving system is very similar to the NEWS faving system. So that you click the little heart icon and you can view all of your saved comments in your activity readout!

When a comment is added to your faves, it's more for reference, not for popularity. Something that `namenotrequired mentioned was a great point:

" The result would be people trying to get attention through comments rather than art and community effort. That might sound pathetic or cynical, but when you see that your hilarious comment gets 30 faves, and someone else's gets 50, I'm pretty sure that 9 out of 10 people would think something along the lines of "they are funnier/more popular than me", "ugh, why did they get more", or "I wish I would have said that/gotten so many faves on what I said". "

I don't want people to try and gain popularity through their comments. That's something I didn't consider in my original idea, but I'm glad it was brought up.

Also, I don't think that deviants should be notified when their comment is added to someone's faves. That would: a) be annoying; b) not really matter, since it's not art; and c) defeat the purpose of this acting as an index rather than a form of "art".

THIS THING TOOK LIKE 3.5 HOURS!

I had to make a lot. I made the little comment icon...added in all of the comments in the "Fave Comments" area, and added all of the hearts and stuff. A lot of editing.

A lot of people say this is too Facebook-like. Pff, Facebook. dA will never be like it. I love the community here and it has a separate purpose. As long as there's no "like" button, we're all good.
