Description Drawing armour is hard that's why this took long. Well, partly why anyway.

There were exams plus I got super motivated to catch up on stuff too.

I know literally every design for aegislash is like a knight but I wanted more practise for armour drawing. Plus I came up with a story and I don't want to abandon it...

So basically in her past life, she was a general (is that the highest rank for a knight? I don't know I need to look it up...). During her time of service the kingdom she served was in a war with a neighbouring kingdom. As the war waged on it looked more and more like they were going to lose, so she betrayed them and joined the other side. But unfortunately for her their side actually won and so they sought after her because she was a traitor. She was captured and executed for treason. Everyone believed that was the end of her, but her spirit began haunting the town. The townspeople demanded her father to be responsible for this, and so he sought out ways to put her to rest. He got someone to seal her into a sword. Many years later she reawakened as a honedge when a careless grave robber grabbed its hilt. And then blah she trained and evolved to an aegislash.

This is probably going to change I need to work out things.

I think you did a great job with the armor. The eyepatch is a nice touch. Her pose seems a bit too cutesy for a warrior, but it's a minor thing for me.

Ahh thanks!

Yeah you're totally right the pose is not that well planned. "orzΒ

Never underestimate the power of the pose! XD They can do a lot to show a characters personality and what they're about.

Yes that is so true!! I think I just got particularly lazy with the pose in terms of this one because I was slaving over the armour. "orz

Haha, I know the feels! Sometimes you just spend so much time trying to get something right in your art that you just want it to be finished so you can move on. XD I also have a bad habit of getting lazy with parts of my artwork, you just gotta yell at yourself and say "Stop being lazy and do it right!" so you can keep doing your very best.

Yep that's the exact feeling I had with this.Β

I constantly remind myself not to skimp out but I guess I lack discipline because I somehow still skimp on some parts in the end. It's unavoidable sighs.

I think it is especially for this project though because I have to make so many designs.Β

It is super fun but the more I draw the more I'm contemplating on just posting sketchy designs. I just really want to finish the project and not abandon it. ; ~ ;

There's nothing wrong with doing sketchy designs! Maybe you could do the rest of them sketchy and just polish off the ones that you really like? If you start a project for yourself, you don't need to stress about finishing it right away.Β  You're more likely to abandon it if stresses you out, but if you take a break or put less pressure on yourself, you're more likely to come back to it and have fun again.

Yeah that's a pretty good idea. Right now I'm thinking of just lining them well and putting flat colours instead of shading them. Shading always takes me an awful amount of time. "orz But truthfully I enjoy doing more loose and sketchy drawings so I might end up doing that.
That's true, I should be less stressed about it since it is just a thing for fun. I'm just afraid with that mindset I might never finish. I don't know why I stress so much about "finishing". It's about finding a balance I suppose. Β
