Description
I walk up the silent stairwell,footsteps echoing,
I become aware that my legs are getting heavier,
the stairs steeper,
I don't know where I am going,
only that I choose to go there,
I don't stop,
or turn back,
I walk on slowly up the silent stairwell,
sometimes alone in my decision,
sometimes packed with many people I don't know,
and several I do,
I am not depressed by this fact of life,
I am empowered,
I have an important purpose by following my own path,
no matter how steep the climb may be,
I walk on,
because no one else will,
I walk up my silent stairwell...
