After watching Fate Stay Night for the second time I finally made the conection between Archer and Emiya. I was not thrilled by this being that I love Archer and hate Emiya. Stupid time loop and stupid Emiya... -_- Oh well I still love Fate Stay Night.Related content

I accidentally watched things out of order and watched UBW before the original Fate/Stay Night and I loved Shirou! Β Suspected it kind of early on that he was Archer based on his abilities and that Saber thought his style matched Archer's better and the whole thing with the necklace. Β Guess I'll have to watch the other ones to see what everyone keeps complaining about, but he was totally likable in UBW! Β His reason for becoming a Guardian is a little naive though... But totally tragic.. And I love Archer too!

It was drown after watching Deens '06 version of F/SN I believe. There Shirou used Projection only 1 time, and it was not Archers swords that was copied, but Sabers so resemblance wasn't so obvious.
That anime was the main reason why everyone hated idea of Shirou been Archer- Shirou was useless sexist and Archer came down as 100% badass(dat Archer vs Berserker fight).

The Archer/Berserker fight was just about the only thing I really liked about the original FSN.

the "future Badass" level-up makes Archer almost a complete different Person, so it's fine

You should watch the movie (Shinji's even more of a creep and has a huge thing for Tohsaka. ) You end up cheering for Emiya (Also, Archer is horrible)

Well if you have the light novel and play Unlimited Blade Works or Heaven's Feel, Shirou is actually 10X More Likable, hell in those 2 stories, he uses UNLIMITED BLADE WORKS (the Reality Marble)

I think the only thing that saves me from screaming in agony is the fact that I didn't see most of the anime/ play most of the game, so I naturally saw the two as separate entities. Evidently my fangirl side doesn't even remotely make the connection possible. My head knows it's there, but something else just put a barrier there keeping the two from meeting XD To me, Archer is always the cynical badass, and Emiya is a naive person, two separate people.

That's actually funny, in a weird, world-has-a-sense-of-humor meaning. What saves you from screaming in agony is that you didn't play most of the game... but if you did, you would have no reason at all to scream! The more you hang out with Emiya the more you realise that he isn't all that naive and he turns out to be a real hero-to-be. I love this guy.

I agree with you 100% i dislike shiro soooooo much threw most of the anime becouse he just has that annoying quality to him but when he interacts you can't help but feel like you can put up with him and he be ok all until a fight comes up......poor Archer >.<+ why couldn't he be a real hero that actually matters cuz honestly what did shiro really do but finish off a fight becouse of what Rin gave him and tought him....if not for her the series wouldv been over after the first episode.

Very true. Rider has to be my #1 vote for Underdog of the Game. I mean, the further you get into it, the more you learn about her! She's cold, but loyal.
Lancer makes me laugh. His attitude is always, 'Meh, whatever' until he's having fun in a fight. Then he's like 'Finally! I can have FUN!'
What to say about the awesomeness that is Saber? I mean she's freaking **** ******! 'Nuff said. ^_^
