Description
There is a lot of paralellism between Scar and Kovu in TLK2, and all of it is bad.
I felt like drawing something opposite.. something nice.

I have a feeling that Sarafina and Taka's relationship would have been a very similar dynamic to Kovu and Kiara's. A more rugged, rough-around-the-edges lion with a bubbly, sassy lioness always trying to get under his skin, but just getting under his skin in a good way. Taka had always been a loner, feeling more and more estranged from his pride as he grew into his teen years, but somehow Sarafina had a way of breaking down his walls and making him feel.. happy.. like he really did belong. She smoothed all his rough edges, made him softer. She was his better half.
If everything had just gone the way they dreamed it would.. It would be what the stars would have wanted..

I always love drawing younger, happy Taka/Askari/Takasa - whatever you may call him.
Speaking of which, I am still considering which name to use personally in my lore. I have always used Taka because it was his original name, but I would love to hear what you guys call him and why!

P.S. in my HC Scar doesn't get his scar until a bit later, when he's a young adult- not as a cub or teen.
