I'm guessing Universal stole the Piranha Plant's design?

That would be a bad place for Spyro and Cynder to end a flight or a skydive... Just think:
*Spyro's body bursts through a tree layer in the Forbidden Cavern. He lets out a "whoa" before he hits a pile of leaves. The purple dragon emerges, shaking off whatever injuries he had in the landing. Damn AD (Anti-Dragon) weapons. Cynder bursts through soon after; her landing's more controlled because of an improvised parachute. She gets rid of the 'chute, given there's no chance of using that again.*
Cynder: Are you alright? You look like you could use a pain pill right about now.
Spyro: I've got a few cuts, bruises, broken wing... I'll walk it off. I just wish I'd thought of your idea sooner.
Cynder: Well, it's not your fault. Those AD weapons were aiming at YOU, not me. Where are we?
*Spyro doesn't answer; he's staring right at a Carnivorus Plant, but really doesn't know what it is. It's only when Sparx looks at the thing and freaks out that they realize where they are. The dragons and dragonfly dart out soon after.*

Yeah, I've thought of the Forbidden Cavern as a place in Dragonfly Falls where usually the predators of dragonflies lurk and live. Bubbling swamps are also there with bones of dead creatures.

I guess I had 'em overreactin'. Sparx'd be the one darting out, not the dragons. And about the swamps and dead creatures; not something you'd want to see in a kid's game. Not that Spyro and Cynder's lives are games in THEIR universe...

No, I mean the bones of the snakes or other creatures were in ANB in the Swamp area, similar to the bones from Skelos Badlands from Ripto's Rage, and the Plants would eat anything edible.

Oh, I see what you mean; those little dead lizards and other miscellenous unfortunate wildlife.

Back on track here... The Aurorans who discovered the Carnivorus Plants probably weren't feeling very creative, but what can you do? They're just going to see the wrong end of Cynder's tailblade anyway!

Which reminds me... Was that tailblade a mutation thanks to Malefor or a genetic gift? I've always wondered that!

It was part of Cynder's body before she was corrupted, so she was born with it.

She was given quite the gift, I'd say. Her own Swiss Army knife right from birth... Not that Warfang could call it that; there's no Swiss Army to speak of in that world.
