It's called Enders' Gate, End of A Golden Age. The cover for it is at the top of my profile.
Paladin golmechs haven't appeared in the story as of yet. Thanks for your interest!

Did you change your icon? I got confused for a minute haha. I swear it was just something else. And no, it is strictly literature, but I plan to make it into a graphic novel as well. That'll take much more time though. Thanks for your interest.

no prob, so the golmech, is he alive or does he have a pilot?

SapphireCityMedia In reply to shydood3 [2014-07-08 00:10:24 +0000 UTC]
Both. The golmech is basically a zombie that needs the blood of a human to function. The torso opens up and the pilot goes inside the golmech in between it's lungs. Basically the golmech is programmed to obey the pilot completely, even though it has a brain of its own and perhaps a soul.

You mean magical as in being able to cast magic or magical as in being created from magic? There aren't any as of now that can cast magic, but they do need to be created with magic.

SapphireCityMedia In reply to shydood3 [2014-07-09 04:07:38 +0000 UTC]
Yes indeed. The golmech de-materializes into a small crucifix (call cross) when not in use. The cross is embedded into the pilot's back so that the golmech can be summoned upon a whim.

There are dragons from hell, fauns, cat-people and strange places. There is also a demonic clown named Donitius Elroy of House Dignitas.

you should make the gargoyles very powerful, I could give you a back story on them if you want.

The gargoyles are known to be very rare creatures, there were used to be millions of them, but their home world dimension was destroyed by some unknown power. Some say that there's only about 250 left at most.
Gargoyles are also known as ultimate killing machines, there skin is so thick and hard that not even a nuke can brake through it, many mages say that it would take the force of 1 trillion arch mages shooting fireballs at once in order to kill it, that or use a gargoyle weapon which are really hard to find. A gargoyles bite is 1 billion times stronger than your average human since they are able to chew right through diamond like bread, and breathe a blue fire that's so hot it burns the flesh and bone of humans instantly, and they can fly at the speed of sound.
Even the world's best bounty hunters and mercenaries are afraid to fight any of them, but they are more afraid of the beings that destroyed their home and killed the majority of them.

I would be scared of them too. Those gargoyles sound invincible.

but they are not, the golmechs have the ability to kill them.

their sizes vary, from as small as your average human to the ones bigger than golmechs.

If the ones bigger than the golmechs can fly at the speeed of sound they could probably destroy the golmechs. How tough is their skin?

shydood3 In reply to SapphireCityMedia [2014-07-15 23:59:00 +0000 UTC]
the big ones are slower than the smaller ones, and they have weaker skin but they make up for their strength. They usually don't fly that much often and they usually fight their prey/enemies head on.

no, the sword either needs to be the gargoyle killer sword, or an enchantment put on the blade in order to kill them.

SapphireCityMedia In reply to shydood3 [2014-07-16 22:57:19 +0000 UTC]
I still think they would mess up a golmech pretty badly then.

shydood3 In reply to SapphireCityMedia [2014-07-17 00:20:23 +0000 UTC]
but if the golmechs or a person fight the gargoyle in a fight without killing it, the gargoyle would accept defeat and will be summonable in battle to whoever beats it.

So it can be conquered. Awesome. I'd personally probably use the gargoyles to conquer others and take over the world. haha
