.....(I blame myself for this conversation) that may be true but that doesn't change the fact that Ponyo disregarded her father's orders, despite warnings, and still ran away from home...(well technically she ran ABOVE her home since her home is the sea) NOT NOW BRAIN! and with that she caused a catastrophic tsunami that nearly drowned hundreds if not Thousands of people if it weren't stopped by her dear old mother, sure she didn't exactly know that would happened but it isn't like she saying "sorry" would fix everything, what I'm still angry about is that she never got that final whooping at the end of the movie.
