People like to throw around the word beautiful way too often, to me this piece is relatively simple as there are only a couple things to look at, a broken down and rusty car and an abandoned gas station and a dark background making it appear as if a storm is brewing.
It's pretty cool to look at but beautiful? No.

Thanks for the comment, Johnathan! Keep in mind that beauty is an opinion. To me, the beauty in this piece IS the fact that there's only a "couple things to look at". My desire was to make this something that people can instantly place themselves in. To me, this is beautiful (or else I wouldn't have stated that as my goal). But, to each their own! Your comment really displays the truth in the statement, "beauty is in the eye of the beholder." I appreciate the feedback.

Well if the spirit of Americana is what you're going for, then perhaps it's better not to think of it as lonely, but as opportunity, the untapped potential of a frontier not yet explored. Brilliant work, definitely going in my private stash of marvelous DA work.
