I decided to do "month deities" this year, so here's January!
It just so happens that @ ngones_illustrations on instagram is doing a month of the year personification thing, which is awesome! Join the fun over there using the hashtag # ccmdoodles
ALSO, I'm putting my month deities up for adoption as open source character designs! What are open source character designs you ask? Well:
Open source character designs are free to use! Use 'em change 'em, get creative with it! But remember, it's the *design* that is free to use, not the original artwork; the artwork and all the rights that go with it still belong to me as the artist so please don't go posting it around or selling prints or anything. If you want to reference the original artwork please link back to it or contact me and we'll see about working something out!
Also, you are not aloud to sell open source character designs as adoptables; the idea is to feed creativity by keeping this free and open to whoever wants to play with it.
And lastly you aren't required to reference me or the original design if you use it, but everyone would appreciate it if you did! It keeps the creativity flowing and spreads the love! And, of course, I'd love to see what you are doing with this idea if you are willing to show me!
Also, please feel free to create and share your own open source character designs with the world! The more the better! You can find these rules over here if you want to use them.
