I saw the lineart on Lineart for Colorists group, and I really liked this one. I'm also proud of myself, because it's been over a year since I've colored something, and I think it looks really good.

I've always thought that coloring others' work would be a lot of fun. I don't get to do it for my own stuff much anymore since I don't get the lineart to color in the first place. lol.

Coloring is a lot of fun. The only problem is when you show artwork you colored, people are like "You drew that?" and you have to say "No, ____ drew it, I colored it." and then they say "Oh...well...the colors are nice." in an extremely disappointed fashion.

Yeah, in order for a coloring job to be really impressive in and of itself, you have to take a sketch that no one would likely pay attention to and turn it into something really nice (like approaching realism, most likely). But that's harder than hell, and not nearly as much fun as something like this, IMO.

Yes, it is certainly more fun to color good pieces of artwork. You really need to feel inspired by the line art to do a good job, at least in my opinion, so to do a piece that isn't all that great is really difficult
