Good way to start your birthday, submitting some vent art? 8DMy character Aldreda after she got boiling water thrown at her. I think this piece is mediocre at best, so I might move this to scraps later.

This is really well done. Upon first glance I felt concerned for you. That, in itself, is testament to the power of the image.
Initially, it gives this sense that you're viewing the art of someone that is fixated on a pointless and pathetic past time of hurting animals for no reason. After viewing your other works it becomes obvious that you draw animal characters and this is the aftermath of something that happened to a fictional character.
Even though this image is jarring for reasons that were probably unintentional, it is still a powerful image with a lot of style to it. Great piece.

Ah, sorry for the late reply! This comment kind of caught me off guard; I'm not used to this kind of more thought-out and serious comments, and thus they always tend to get me a little confused. Not that I would complain though, no. So I do thank you for your input, it's always quite a compliment to hear my drawing has been impactful somehow. Also I must thank you for not going on with your first, concerned thoughts, as I really don't want to be confused as an animal abuser; those people are utter filth, I have no respect for them at all. Macabre, abusive things are only okay in fiction and even then only if the topic is treated respectfully.

After reviewing your gallery it became obvious that it wasn't just an abused canid, but rather a character that had been through hell and back. I rarely comment on images, but I was unsure if you were aware of what the first impression is likely to be. I've done equally questionable art. I wanted to make you aware of the potential backlash from people that will not dig into alternative viewpoints and seek the truth. I respect this piece; knowing the truth behind it. It's among your best, both from a technical standpoint, and for it's overall design and visually stimulating arrangement.
