Hey, I'm a bit confused when people mention "closed species." Was there ever an announcement on this? I'm just wondering since I never write closed species on my of species art. Of course, it's not adorable like your stuff, so maybe it's not needed.^^

Closed species is just what most people use when they invent a new species and they don't want people to copy them.Β Even if I didn't sell my adopts, I would still have them closed because I love my creatures too much and want to be the only one designing them.x3Β You technically can't copyright an idea though, like dust bunnies or dessert animals definitely don't belong to me.Β But I can claim the combination of the name Fluffbits, and my style of drawing them.Β Legally I can also go on with things like trademarking species names or copyrighting certain characters too.

I haven't seen dessert animals other than yours yet. But I have suddenly noticed food animals since I discovered you.Β
And I used to be so scared that people would see my stuff and yell plagiarism. I'm not scared of people copying my droll ideas, but I've always been scared about them saying I copied them.Β
In the end, I decided to just post it and if people think it's similar, I'll take it as a compliment.Β
I bet you could easily sell stickers and lunchboxes with these critters of yours. I'd love to have one.
